Tybro helps to prove Atomic Energy Authority’s 50 million pound project

We’ve Just Finished Manufacturing This Stainless Steel Test Piece

The test piece is the final part of a 50 million pound scientific project due to be tested in Sweden this September, designed by our customer but manufactured, machined and pre-assembled by Tybro.

This component will prove the function of the Ess active cells facility built to remotely handle and reduce the size of radioactive components in the world’s largest windowless hot cell.

The parts were machined right here in our factory on one of our larger bed mills with the capability to mill vertically and horizontally in one operation saving vital amounts of machining time and money for our customers.
